Role and Responsibility:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization
  • Generate leads
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone/VC
  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
  • understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet the clients’ requirements
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • draw up client contracts
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
  • Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager in product-based software company
  • Responsible for handling clients’ accounts independently
  • Create monthly reports and present the same to the management

Must Have:

  • 3 to 6 Years of relevant work experience of procuring clients for software development
  • Master’s / Postgraduate Degree with Sales Field of Study preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Technical / Business field of study is preferred
  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Able to converse and write effectively in English.
  • Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
  • Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually
    beneficial results.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and
    external business activities.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology as and when required
  • Able to use relevant computer system applications at a basic level
